Norman was a superb host, very communities and helpful. Steeple Ashton is a pretty village ideally placed for exploring Wiltshire and beyond. Jasmin Cottage was clean and tidy when we arrived.

We found Jasmine Cottage on a booking site and communicated with its owner regarding Jasmine Cottage’s pet policy. There was a swift and kind reply. The same welcoming feeling we received in Steeple Ashton with neighbours guiding us to the cottage and advising us on safe parking. Later we enjoyed visiting Steeple Ashton’s village shop, kept by volunteers who as very willing to function as a Tourist Information Centre members too.
The quality of the Cottage, its cleanliness and general facilities is 10 out of 10. All is there plus the typical countryside cottage feel.
We used Steeple Ashton to visit a number of places like Avebury, Stonehenge, Marlborough (super vegan food in Marlborough’s church cafe!) Bath, Bradford on Avon but also we enjoyed sauntering through the village of Steeple Asthon.
Jasmine Cottage is highly recommended, even when you are tall and you have to mind your head. It is a cosy and superbly located place.

Lovely cottage in great location. Lots to do within easy driving range i.e. longleat, , cheddar gorge,, the stunning city of bath, lacock village and Stonehenge.

The cottage was well equipped and comfortable, we took our 3 dogs so the enclosed garden was a god-send. The village is beautiful with very friendly locals everywhere.

I'd thoroughly recommend this cottage and wouldn't hesitate to go back

What a holiday! Jasmine Cottage was a hit with all of us, me and my partner, my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren who were visiting Wiltshire from New York. The cottage was incredibly well equipped, clean and comfortable.
As we had lived in Wiltshire while my daughter was growing up, she wanted to share it with her children. All easy driving visits to: Wookey Hole (and dinner in Wells); Bath; West Kennett Long Barrow followed by Avebury and passing by the Cheril White Horse on the way back; Castle Combe and Lacock Abbey with Fox-Talbot Museum and finally Stonehenge.
Norman helpfully arranged for us to have a second door key as with such a large group we were arriving back at different times.
The village of Steeple Ashton is full of friendly locals, and the village shop was delightful, selling everything from clotted cream to fuse wire and stamps.

Possibly the highlight of the visit for my grandson was being able to contact the keyholder for St Mary's Church, who gave permission for my grandson to spend an hour playing the organ. My grandson has only had two pipe organ lessons so far, so having the opportunity to experiment outside a lesson situation was invaluable (he's only 12), thank you Michael!
My partner and I had one meal at the Long's Arms - it was excellent, well prepared food and a good choice on the menu.
I would absolutely recommend Jasmine Cottage for either a restful stay or as a base to visit the many places within easy driving distance.

We've been to Jasmine cottage several times in the last 6 or 7 years and would thoroughly recommend it. It is comfortable and spacious with all the facilities you could reasonably need. Steeple Ashton is a large enough village to spend half a day exploring, with access to numerous footpaths into the countryside if you want to venture further with dogs or kids or both. We have used it as a base for trips to Avebury, Devizes (Caen Locks definitely worth a visit), Marlborough, Laycock etc but Glastonbury, Stourhead and Bath would also be within easy range.

Doubtless we will be returning, possibly with family, as there are three ample bedrooms and with 6 people sharing the costs, that makes for excellent value.
